Day 1:   Nairobi - Nanyuki

After breakfast meet our guide for briefing regarding the mountain and then proceed together with your guide to Nanyuki for lunch and later have an acclimatisation walk in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in your hotel in Nanyuki.

Day 2:   Nanyuki - Sirimon Park Gate - Old Moses Camp

After breakfast proceed to Sirimon Park gate where upon completion of registration facilities you will start the hike to Old Moses Camp (3300 metres - 3 to 4 hours walk) for dinner and overnight.

Day 3:   Old Moses Camp - Shiptons Hut

After breakfast, hike through the moorland viewing high altitude flowers and rodents. Ascend through the Mackinders valley with picnic lunch en route and a superb view of the peaks ahead to Shiptons Camp 4200m. (6 to 7 hrs) for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:   Shiptons

Early morning ascent to point Lenana (4985 metres), after sunrise circumnavigate around the peaks and back to Shiptons for overnight. (option acclimatization hike around the peaks before the final ascent to the peak Lenana)

Day 5:   Shiptons - Meru Mount Kenya Bandas

After breakfast traverse the peaks via Simba Col to Mintos Hut and hike down along the Gorges valley to Meru Mount Kenya Banda for dinner and overnight in tents.

Day 6:   Meru Mount Kenya Bandas Campsite - Chogoria Village - Nairobi

After breakfast hike through the tropical rain forest (6-7 hours) in the zone where we search for wildlife to Chogoria village for lunch before you meet your transfer vehicle to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon.
